Mumbiram´s passion for all that is beautiful was finding expression all the time in different mediums. Mumbiram was always very resourceful about the choice of medium for a particular theme and he was equally sensible in choosing the right themes to express in an available medium.
Stained glass windows are extensively used in Christian churches around the world. That medium involved a technique of joining coloured pieces of glass using a soldering gun. The medium was eminently suitable for creating geometric patterns and simple stylized images of scriptural episodes. Mumbiram had delicate personal images and flowing natural curves floating in his mind´s visions. Mumbiram came upon an idea that would make it possible to create a great variety of images in a great variety of colours. He would use metallic raisin putty and fiberglass resin tinted with shades of colour on glass or fiberglass sheets.
